About Me

My Photo
Joseph G. Standart
Can a photograph make a positive impact in the way one perceives oneself? Can it change the self-image of a city or region? Can Art make a difference? Photographer- Joe Standart delves into these and other questions in a series of monumental art events/exhibitions which when combined will be known as Portrait of America. The first installation took place in New London, Connecticut and is known as PORTRAIT OF A CITY-THE NEW LONDON PROJECT. It represents the Northeast and discussed the topic of "self-image." Future projects will take place in New Orleans, Detroit, and Santa Barbara on the subjects of Home, Work and Play.
